About This Game Ominous clouds are gathering over Persia. I like geenie the most.. Terrific game. Loving the addition of a second lead character that you can interact with which is so rare in Hidden Object Games. You flip flop between the two of them throughout the bulk of the game and also dialogue options such as in classic adventure games adds extra depth and interactivity for the player. The 'Prince of Persia' theme is beautiful and the visuals are stunning. I was most pleased that, without any spoliers, there may be more games to come in this series. Please, yes :) The only fault is that some of the object manipulation tasks are a little easy and there are moments you may feel as if you are just clicking your mouse to advance the story but the story is so good that I'll be forgiving. Lastly, a few games recently have had a function whereby you are an alchemist or CSI etc and you have to pickup ingredients for a kit you have to solve a problem. By far this is the first game where thankfully this is used throughout the whole game. Most others I have played use this function for the first 20 percent of the game and then it is forgotten about in favour of the usual HIdden Object puzzles etc. . Keep doing all these things so the games feel fresh and exciting and well done for trying something different.. A beautifully produced, but very short and especially easy casual point-and-click adventure.There are only a few simple hidden-object scenes, and the puzzle mini-games are almost trivial, but the delightful graphics, music, and voice acting overcome these flaws to provide for a pleasant couple of hours. Those seeking a \u201creal\u201d hidden-object challenge should look elsewhere, but if you don't feel like taxing your brain too much, this is a nice once.Thank you, devs, for supporting Linux!. The story and graphics are very good. The puzzles are embarrassingly easy. Only one puzzle made me pause for more than a few seconds.One nice aspect is that it is very coherent in period, mythology and theme. No anachronisms, no out-of-place elements. Very high writing\/production\/art quality.Only one new puzzle, however, and it is merely a variation on an old standard. Hidden object scenes are rare, but there are some.The English version is well done, except for one out of place quote by one character that made me spit my drink on my keyboard.. I really enjoyed this game. Graphics were great, mini games were not excruciatingly. Would play again and recommend to others.. Good story, fun game play, nice puzzles. I like how they used the different perspectives for the different characters. I enjoyed this game and was sad that it was so short. Only 3 hours for me. I liked the Arabian Nights theme with a mythical touch. I'm tired of horror, ghosts and asylum HOs!Graphics were good, music was lovely (full orchestra) and dialogue amusing. Puzzles were fairly easy and HO scenes were few and far between I completely forgot about the palace markings, so missed that achievement!I hope they make a sequel to this. 7.5 from me.. One of the more enjoyable recent Artifex Mundi HOG's.. there were only a few scenes that involved finding items based on a list of names, most were variations of finding broken pieces of things etc, the nice thing about these ones that I haven't seen in a lot of HOG's was that each piece you found had a visible effect on the scene.. be the pices of a lock going together to open a glass case to mosaic pieces fitting into the wall and then opening into a hidden shelf. Quite nicely done.This one also had very memorable voice acting.. not what they were saying, but just the fact that it wasn't as cringey as some of the others though there was one stand out instance where the pronunctiation of a word made it seem like a different word - requiring a double take on what the actual sentence was meant to be.The artwork (as always) was amazing.. and as is done in my favourite Artifex Mundi games - but unfortunately not all of them - you are able to slot pieces of a set puzzle pieces together in any order.. I hate when it says 'I need more' .. because I invevitably end up thinking oh I tried that item with it, it must need something else.. whereas when you see the previously 'slotted' piece (be in a tile, or a ring, or a gem etc.) that you put in it triggers in your memory that yes, you put that in there, and oh yeah.. i have another two of them now.. at least.. that is how my mind approaches it.. your mileage may vary :DI played this one from start to finish.. it had some sequences that were 'actiony' for the standard HOG genre and they weren't too annoying, but I did get a bit annoyed that it was the secondary male character who did all the 'heroics' unlike in other games where it's either the female lead or a pet/machine - something about it just seemed a bit 'stand back little lady.. I got this!'.. urgh.All in all a great fun HOG that borders closer to the point-and-click adventure than a pure HOG.. good fun.
